What if your company network blocks Mark AI?

The domains and settings to allow on your company network, and how to recognize a network block.

Written by Kilian Poulin

To use Mark AI from your company network, ask your IT team to add the following domains to your network’s allowlist:

  • app.markcopy.ai

  • api.markcopy.ai

  • ws.markcopy.ai

  • files.markcopy.ai

  • documents.markcopy.ai

  • sso.markcopy.ai

  • unleash-proxy.markcopy.ai

  • api.liveblocks.io

To keep it simple, you can allow *.markcopy.ai instead of the subdomains above. Some features use other domains, listed in Domains in detail below.

📧 Also allow the email sender no-reply@markcopy.ai, so that sign-in codes and password reset emails arrive.

⚠️ Make sure WebSockets (wss://) and long responses go through without buffering, and that no filtering category such as Generative AI blocks Mark AI. Each point is detailed below.

Proxy settings

  • No buffering on api.markcopy.ai: AI answers are streamed (text/event-stream)

  • Timeouts of at least 30 seconds idle and 5 minutes per response

  • WebSockets (wss://) allowed to ws.markcopy.ai and api.liveblocks.io

  • SSL inspection and browser isolation: exempt *.markcopy.ai and api.liveblocks.io if problems appear

  • Standard HTTP methods allowed (GET, POST, PUT, PATCH, DELETE)

Recognize a network block

What you see

Likely cause

A page with your company’s branding says Access denied, Website blocked or This category is not allowed

The web filter classifies Mark AI as an AI tool

The sign-in page or the app keeps loading

A required domain is blocked

The AI starts writing, then stops or never finishes its answer

The proxy holds back long responses

Your colleagues’ cursors and comments don’t appear, or Reconnecting… stays on screen

WebSocket connections are blocked

File uploads fail or images don’t display

Access to file storage is blocked

Everything works from home or on 4G, but not at the office or on the VPN

The company network filters part of the traffic

💡 For a quick fix, send your IT team a screenshot, the time it happened and the link to this article.

Netskope

Palo Alto Networks

⚠️ A domain allow list takes priority over categories: it is the most reliable fix. Also check data protection (DLP) rules for AI tools, which can block file uploads.
